Technical Sales Executive/Technical Assessor- Waste Management Industry
Are you passionate about the waste management industry? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Sales Executive/ Technical Assessor to join a dynamic team! Your focus will be utilizing your expertise to ensure prompt and compliant technical assessments, routing, and pricing of incoming waste types. Collaborate closely with the sales department, playing a key role in generating and growing business revenue. It is less of Sales but more Technical and liaising with other departments!
LOCATION: Burntwood – Staffordshire 8:30am-5pm – Mon- Fri.
You must live relatively close to the offices!
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Assessment and Pricing:
*Conduct technical assessments, routing, and pricing in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
*Provide expert guidance on technical and commercial issues to stakeholders at various levels.
*Waste Stream Management:
*Identify situations requiring waste stream sampling and interpret lab analyses for informed decision-making on disposal routes and commercials.
*Periodically visit suppliers/customers and support duty of care audits.
Business Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to influence deal-making and increase profitability.
Compliance and Documentation:
*Provide packing lists and guidance for safe waste segregation, packaging, and labelling.
*Support the closure of customer non-conformances promptly to ensure timely invoicing of incoming loads.
Continuous Improvement:
*Proactively identify opportunities for business improvements related to operating flow and customer/supply chain management.
*Stay informed about the capabilities of operating facilities and the broader waste industry, sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Generic Duties:
*Fulfill additional duties as requested by senior management.
*Contribute to overall company objectives and aims.
*Prioritize safety, health, and daily awareness of related issues.
*Report incidents, observations, and concerns through the appropriate channels.
*Actively participate in energy and resource-saving activities.
*Promote a “right first time” culture for zero non-conformities and accidents/incidents.
*Champion continual improvement opportunities with line management.
