My client is a highly successful, packaging business based in West London, and are seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to join the senior management team. Sustainability is at the core of their values, and offer a diverse range of packaging solutions, including bespoke products. Their commitment to innovation has led them to expand into the manufacturing of recycled and printed packaging through their European subsidiary operation.
Role Overview:
This is an exciting NEW position within the organisation, reflecting their commitment to growth and innovation. The salary range is £70k + £5K Car Allowance + OTE £100k. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales team towards unprecedented growth and success. As a player-manager, you will dedicate 50% of your focus to team management and the remaining 50% to devising and executing sales growth strategies.
Key Focus of Head of Sales:
Company Growth Leader:
* You will be the driving force behind sales and pricing strategy, directly reporting to the Managing Director.
* Your mandate extends across UK and EU manufacturing, distribution, and direct supply operations, where you will work to maximise output and growth.
* Your vision will encompass building sales across all channels, nurturing both new and existing customer relationships.
Key Account Team Manager:
* Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating the performance of the Key Account Team.
* You will provide hands-on training, unwavering support, and constructive feedback to your team members.
* Your commitment to staff development will foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Enhancing Key Account Relationships:
* As the primary point of contact for key prospects and customers, you will be entrusted with nurturing, safeguarding, and deepening these crucial relationships.
* Your portfolio will include major packaging merchants and unique contracts, such as the Royal Warrant.
Delivering New Business Growth through Analysis:
* Data will be your compass as you survey customers, analyse sales data, and conduct market research.
* Building relationships with key decision-makers is at the heart of your strategy.
* You will craft tailored marketing campaigns and content, aligning them with the specific needs and challenges of target customers.
Implementing Sales Development Projects & Processes:
* Collaborating closely with the Marketing Team, you will take the lead in assessing, prioritising, and executing sales projects.
* Your strategic thinking will encompass promotions, loyalty programs, campaigns, and sustainable initiatives.
* Process improvements that enhance conversion rates, efficiency, brand awareness, and sales growth will be a cornerstone of your approach.
You Must have:
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* Leadership experience in motivating and leading teams to exceed targets.
* Commercial acumen, adept at negotiations, and cost management.
