Salary: up to £65K DOE +bonus
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Ecommerce Trading Manager to help elevate our online presence and drive our ambitious sales targets.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class website experience and optimizing the path to purchase to support our ambitious online sales targets and brand elevation.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and improve the seasonal product launch process, owning the product master file.
– Ensure timely launch of new products and maintain continuity of existing products.
– Improve product data processes and systems, covering product names, descriptions,
translations, images, size charts, and additional attributes.
– Present products and their benefits compellingly, testing new ideas to enhance product
information, attributes, badging, category, and images.
– Continuously optimize product discovery and customer journeys, including navigation,
curated features, category sequence, default colors, filters, sort options, and site
search.
– Maintain and execute the content, campaign, and promotion calendar to maximize impact and
presentation.
– Manage the ecommerce content team to enrich category and product content, improving
conversion, engaging customers, and elevating the brand.
– Guide and support the digital marketing and CRM teams on weekly stories, product drops,
and pushes.
– Manage website personalization, A/B testing, and dynamic site merchandising using
available tools.
– Suggest apps, brief, and manage development projects with the development agency.
– Optimize against KPIs such as CTR, bounce rate, CR, UPT, and AOV.
– Create weekly and monthly reports, reviewing online customer journey data and sales data
to formulate learnings and actions.
– Follow up with analysis after implementing new actions or tests in products, content,
promotions, personalization, and UX areas.
– Recruit, train, and develop team members, coaching and challenging them to constantly
optimize site experience.
– Collaborate with wider teams on actions that affect conversion, such as traffic and
stock.
– Work with the merchandise team to help define assortment plans and product strategies.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in ecommerce management, preferably within a
retail brand.
Skills: Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of ecommerce metrics and KPIs.
Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar).
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with excellent communication and motivational skills.
Technical Knowledge: Experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and third-party apps for personalization and A/B testing.
Creative Thinking: Ability to innovate and implement creative solutions to enhance product presentation and user experience.
Market Awareness: Keen awareness of ecommerce trends, competitor activities, and best practices.
Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, CRM, and merchandise.
